The Original MetalHead High Gain Modification
Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, I developed my high-gain Marshall modifications at MetalHead Electronics in North Hollywood, California.
My goal was simple: more gain, tighter bass, better definition, and longer sustain without losing the natural Marshall sound.
These modifications became popular with guitarists looking for a heavier, more aggressive tone.
Dino Cazares of Fear Factory used one of my modified Marshall amplifiers on the band’s early recordings, helping create the guitar tone heard on Demanufacture.
Today, I’m bringing back my original MetalHead high-gain modifications, using the same designs I developed years ago.
Every modification is personally performed and tested by me, Elan Memran.
