3. Tube Testing: Preamp and power tubes are checked for noise, wear, and proper operation when relevant to the problem.
4. Signal Path Troubleshooting: I trace the signal through the amplifier to locate the problem.
5. Component & Solder Repair: Faulty components and solder connections are repaired or replaced when necessary.
6. Power Tube Biasing: Bias is checked and adjusted when required by the amplifier’s design.
7. Final Testing & Play Test: After the repair, I test the amplifier and play through it to make sure everything is working properly.
My goal is to find the actual cause of the problem and make sure the amplifier operates correctly before returning it to you.
