90-Day Warranty on Repairs & Modifications
I stand behind every repair and modification that leaves my shop.
All repair and modification work performed by MetalHead Electronics is covered by our 90-day limited service warranty.
Our goal is simple: do the job right and stand behind our work.
90-DAY WARRANTY ON REPAIRS & MODIFICATIONS
MetalHead Electronics provides a 90-day warranty on the repair and modification work we perform.
The warranty begins on the date the work is completed.
If a problem develops during the warranty period and is directly related to our workmanship or a defective replacement component we installed, we will correct the covered problem without an additional labor charge.
The warranty applies only to the specific repair or modification performed by MetalHead Electronics.
Unrelated problems that develop elsewhere in the amplifier are not covered.
WHAT OUR 90-DAY WARRANTY COVERS
Our warranty covers:
- Repair workmanship
- Modification workmanship
- Soldering and wiring performed during the service
- Installation of components supplied by MetalHead Electronics
- Defective replacement components installed during the original service
- Problems directly caused by our repair or modification work
Coverage applies to qualifying problems reported during the 90-day warranty period.
MARSHALL & OTHER AMPLIFIER MODIFICATIONS
Every amplifier modification performed by MetalHead Electronics is covered by our 90-day limited service warranty.
This includes the modification circuitry, components, and workmanship supplied or performed by MetalHead Electronics as part of the service.
Our warranty does not extend to the entire amplifier simply because we performed a modification.
Original amplifier components, previous repairs, earlier modifications, transformers, tubes, and unrelated circuitry are not covered unless they were specifically repaired or replaced by MetalHead Electronics as part of the service.
Many vintage amplifiers contain components that are several decades old. If an unrelated original component fails, that failure is not considered a defect in the MetalHead modification.
AMPLIFIER REPAIR WARRANTY
When MetalHead Electronics repairs your amplifier, our 90-day warranty covers the specific repair and the workmanship involved.
For example, if we repair a power supply problem and that same problem returns within 90 days because of our workmanship or a defective replacement component we installed, we will correct the covered problem without an additional labor charge.
If a different component or unrelated section of the amplifier fails during that period, it will be treated as a new repair.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Our warranty does not cover damage or failures caused by:
- Normal wear and tear
- Normal vacuum tube wear
- Accidents, drops, or physical damage
- Liquid or moisture damage
- Improper operation or misuse
- Incorrect speaker impedance
- Operating an amplifier without a required speaker or load
- Incorrect voltage or improper power source
- Power surges or external electrical damage
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications that cause damage
- Damage caused by another technician or service facility
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect operation
- Shipping or transportation damage
- Failures involving unrelated amplifier components
These exclusions apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.
SHIPPING & TRANSPORTATION
Please contact MetalHead Electronics before shipping any amplifier for warranty service.
Customers are responsible for safely packing their equipment and for the cost of shipping or transporting it to MetalHead Electronics, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by applicable law.
Return shipping arrangements and costs will be explained before warranty service begins.
MetalHead Electronics is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging or shipping carriers, except where responsibility is required by applicable law.
We recommend using proper protective packaging and shipping insurance.

- Original service invoice, when available

This limited service warranty applies to qualifying repair and modification work performed by MetalHead Electronics under the terms stated above. MetalHead Electronics reserves the right to inspect equipment and determine whether a reported problem qualifies for warranty service. These terms do not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
