We Stand Behind Our Work and Our Products
At MetalHead Electronics, every repair, modification and product is backed by decades of experience in tube amplifier design, modification and service.
Our warranty is simple: 90 days on repair and modification work, and a Lifetime Limited Warranty on MetalHead Electronics products we manufacture and sell.
90-DAY WARRANTY ON REPAIRS & MODIFICATIONS
MetalHead Electronics repair and modification work is covered for 90 days from the date the work is completed.
If a problem develops during the 90-day warranty period and is directly related to the repair or modification work we performed, we will correct the problem without an additional labor charge.
The 90-day warranty applies to the specific repair or modification work performed by MetalHead Electronics.
It does not cover a different or unrelated problem that develops elsewhere in the amplifier after the original service.
WHAT THE 90-DAY SERVICE WARRANTY COVERS
The 90-day warranty covers:
- Labor performed by MetalHead Electronics
- Repair workmanship
- Modification workmanship
- Soldering and installation performed as part of the original service
- Problems directly caused by the repair or modification we performed
LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY ON METALHEAD PRODUCTS
MetalHead Electronics products manufactured and sold by us are covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty to the original purchaser.
We stand behind the products we design and build. If a MetalHead Electronics product develops a defect in materials or workmanship during normal use, MetalHead Electronics will repair the product for the original purchaser for the lifetime of the product.
Proof of original purchase may be required for lifetime warranty service.
WHAT THE LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY COVERS
The Lifetime Limited Warranty covers defects in:
- MetalHead Electronics manufacturing workmanship
- Internal wiring and assembly
- MetalHead designed and manufactured circuitry
- Failures caused by defective components under normal operating conditions
If a covered defect is confirmed, MetalHead Electronics will repair the product or, when repair is not practical, determine an appropriate replacement solution.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Normal wear and tear
- Vacuum tubes and other normal wear items
- Accidents, drops or physical damage
- Liquid or moisture damage
- Improper operation or misuse
- Incorrect speaker impedance or improper load connection
- Incorrect voltage or improper power source
- Power surges or external electrical damage
- Unauthorized repair, modification or alteration
- Damage caused by another technician or service facility
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect operation
- Shipping or transportation damage
MARSHALL & OTHER AMPLIFIER MODIFICATIONS
MetalHead Electronics warrants our modification work for 90 days.
The warranty applies only to the circuitry, components and labor involved in the MetalHead modification.
MetalHead Electronics cannot warranty the entire amplifier, its original components, previous repairs, previous modifications, tubes, transformers or other circuitry that was not supplied, repaired or modified by MetalHead Electronics.
Vintage amplifiers can contain components that are decades old. Failure of an unrelated original component is not considered a failure of the MetalHead modification.
AMPLIFIER REPAIR WARRANTY
When MetalHead Electronics repairs your amplifier, our 90-day service warranty covers the specific problem we repaired and the work we performed.
For example, if we repair a power supply problem and the same repaired problem returns within 90 days because of our workmanship or a covered replacement component, we will correct it without an additional labor charge.
If a different component or unrelated section of the amplifier fails during that period, it will be treated as a new repair.
SHIPPING & TRANSPORTATION
Customers are responsible for safely packing equipment and for shipping or transportation costs associated with sending equipment to MetalHead Electronics unless otherwise agreed in writing.
MetalHead Electronics is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging, shipping carriers or transportation outside our control.
