TURN YOUR MARSHALL INTO A METALHEAD

Designed by Elan Memran of MetalHead Electronics, the MetalHead External Marshall Mod brings the MetalHead high-gain circuit to compatible Marshall amplifiers through an external, removable system.

The external MetalHead system connects through the amplifier’s preamp tube sockets using a model-specific adapter and connects to a compact external control box.

Get powerful high-gain control while keeping your Marshall original.

Simply remove the MetalHead system and reinstall the original tubes to return the amplifier to its original configuration.

HOW DOES THE MOD WORK?

Depending on the Marshall model, one or two preamp tubes are removed from the amplifier.

The supplied MetalHead adapter connects to the corresponding tube sockets and connects the amplifier to the external MetalHead circuit.

The required original preamp stages are bypassed and replaced by the external MetalHead circuitry.

The system can be removed and the original tubes reinstalled, returning the amplifier to its original configuration.

TONE AND CONTROL

The MetalHead External Marshall Mod gives you two controllable gain stages, a Master Volume and the famous MetalHead noise gate.

On supported models, the system provides the ability to switch between a classic JCM800-style circuit and the MetalHead modified high-gain circuit.

The result is a wide range of Marshall tube tones, from classic overdrive to aggressive MetalHead high gain.

WHAT WE ASK FROM OUR BETA TESTERS

We want you to use the MetalHead External Marshall Mod with your own amplifier in real-world playing conditions.

We ask Beta Testing Program participants to provide us with information about their amplifier model, installation experience, operation, compatibility, tone and overall experience with the system.

We also want to hear your comments, suggestions and anything you believe could make the system even better.

BETA TESTER UPGRADE GUARANTEE

If improvements or design changes are implemented as a result of the Beta Testing Program, participating Beta Testers will be eligible to receive the improved unit at no additional product cost.

To receive the improved unit, the original Beta Testing unit must be returned to MetalHead Electronics.

Shipping terms: The Beta Tester is responsible for the cost of shipping the original unit back to MetalHead Electronics. MetalHead Electronics will pay the shipping cost to send the improved replacement unit back to the Beta Tester.

You will not have to purchase the improved unit again.

THE METALHEAD SOUND

Designed by Elan Memran of MetalHead Electronics, the external system is based on the high-gain Marshall modification philosophy developed by MetalHead Electronics.

MetalHead Marshall modifications became associated with professional guitarists looking for aggressive high-gain Marshall tone, including Dino Cazares of Fear Factory and other players.

The MetalHead External Marshall Mod brings that design philosophy into an external, removable system for compatible Marshall amplifiers.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Tube amplifiers contain potentially lethal high voltages, even after the amplifier has been switched off.

Installation of the MetalHead External Marshall Mod does not require opening the amplifier chassis. Never open or service the amplifier chassis unless you are qualified to work on high-voltage tube equipment.

Manufacturer warranty terms vary. Check your amplifier manufacturer’s warranty conditions regarding aftermarket equipment.
